Position Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

  • Responsible for overall coordination, implementation and execution of category electronic data requirements
  • Maintenance of product master, application and interchange files
  • Maintain accurate part information compliant with industry standards (PIES)
  • Maintain accurate application databases, adhering to published industry standards (ACES) and customer requirements
  • Establish & maintain cross references/interchanges for a category vs. all key competitor part numbers
  • Analyze competitor product range to understand gaps, changes and additions to the line
  • Conduct OEM research and communicate coverage goals and opportunities to product line teams
  • Utilize the ACES & PIES standards to map vehicle information from OE part number
  • Maintain the electronic catalog for a given category, ensuring accuracy & completeness
  • Manage & execute accurate delivery of electronic (and paper where necessary) catalog information to customers
  • Manage customer data requests and inquiries. Review and address customer inquiries in a timely manner. Collaborate to assist with troubleshooting issues and documenting and communicating to appropriate parties
  • Regular interface with category product teams to ensure that catalog/data work meets customer requirements
  • Must be able to plan & meet deadlines
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point.
  • Must be committed to a high level of work quality and personal spirit of cooperation, accuracy and timeliness.

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

  • Automotive aftermarket experience as a catalog professional
  • Strong background in vehicle parts knowledge, automotive part fitment, OEM and competitive part evaluation
  • Proficient with ACES/PIES standards
  • Demonstrated interchange experience
  • Familiarity with customer requirements
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office (Excel), Illustrator and Photoshop

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Bachelor Degree Preferred

Work Environment Requirements:

  • Must be able to operate a personal computer, telephone and other office equipment.
  • Must perform job duties onsite, except those duties that are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (for example, offsite customer visits).
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory quality.
  • Must be able to operate as an effective team member.
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies.

Attendance/Work Hours:

  • Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Must be willing and available to work 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week, plus other hours per day or week as are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
  • Must be willing and available to work such weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
  • NOTE: These requirements are consistent with company policy.

Travel Requirements:

  • Approximately 10%. Occasional weekend responsibility.
  • Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
